In Tokyo, the cherry blossoms have been declared to be in full bloom earlier than usual. Here on Awaji Island, the buds are gradually swelling, and it looks like they will bloom soon.
So, here are some recommended cherry blossom viewing spots up to 30 minutes from the Uzu-no-oka Onaruto Bridge Memorial Hall!
30 minutes by car to Yuzuruha Dam Park.
Ask Awaji Islanders about cherry blossom viewing spots, and their names are sure to come up: Sutsuruha Dam.
Cherry trees are planted along the perimeter of the dam lake, and benches and pavilions are provided at various locations, so visitors can enjoy the cherry blossoms in a picnic-like atmosphere.
The park is one of the most beautiful places on Awaji Island, with as many as 800 Someiyoshino cherry trees planted in the Yuzuruha Dam Park, and the cherry blossoms blooming simultaneously are reflected on the surface of the dam lake, with glimpses of mountain cherry trees on the surrounding mountain surface!
It is also famous as a spot to see fireflies during the rainy season, so please first visit Yuzuruha Dam during spring days to check the path, and then go to see fireflies during the rainy season.
Incidentally, there is a local rule that the road around the Yukatsuruha Dam should be driven in a clockwise direction. Please be careful, as the road is too wide to allow cars to drive in the opposite direction!
Yuzuruha Dam is a little more than 30 minutes drive from Uzu-no-oka, so it is a bit difficult to view cherry blossoms while eating a warm burger (´-`). oO.
So please stop by the Uzu no Oka store before or after cherry blossom viewing, where you will also find limited-edition soft-serve ice cream!

15 minutes by car→Gaju Hachiman Shrine
The classic hanami banquet venue for Minami-Awaji residents is this "Gashu Hachiman Shrine.
The shrine usually has a nice atmosphere, but during the cherry blossom season, the path leading from the torii gate to the shrine pavilion becomes a cherry blossom pathway, creating a more festive atmosphere.
Also, you can enjoy viewing the cherry blossoms at night as they are illuminated at night!
This Gaju Hachiman Shrine holds a spring festival or spring festival every year on the second Sunday of April. This year, the festival will be held on Sunday, April 9, so I wonder if danjiris will parade along the approach to the shrine with cherry blossoms dancing in the air.
Hanami while listening to "futon danjiri" and "danjiri songs" unique to Awaji Island is also good!
Gaju Hachiman Shrine is a 15-minute drive from Uzu no Oka, so be sure to enjoy viewing cherry blossoms with an "Awajishima Onion Beef Burger" in hand ^_^.

Since it is indoors, it is OK even if it rains, and since it is a 0-minute walk (or rather, since it is on Uzu no Oka), you can enjoy viewing cherry blossoms while eating a hot, freshly made burger!
If you are hanamiing here, you can also enjoy hanami while eating "Awajishima Cabbage Thinly Sliced Tonteki Burger (burger available only at Uzu-no-Oka Store)" which is too big to take home.
