The Awajishima Burger Awajishima Onion Kitchen, which sells Awajishima burgers made with local ingredients at the Uzu-no-oka Onaruto Bridge Memorial Museum and other locations, has developed the "Fukura Kodomoen Awajishima Burger" in collaboration with Fukura Kodomoen (Fukura Otsu, Minami Awaji City). The burger is sandwiched between stewed hamburgers, which are popular at school lunches, and was tasted for the first time by the children at the school on the 25th.

The school, which just opened last April after the merger of two facilities, will see its first child graduate in March. The plan was to preserve the children's memories. Based on a recipe for stewed hamburgers, the most popular lunch at the school, the chefs at the school and the staff of the kitchen held numerous meetings to recreate the flavor, focusing on Awaji Island ingredients such as Awaji beef. A portrait of a child was made into the burger bag, and a picture of Awaji Island drawn by the child was made into a can badge.

This was the first time for the children to eat hamburgers. They stuffed their mouths with the hamburgers and said "Delicious" in unison, and had second helpings of the burgers one after another.

Uzu no Oka plans to start selling the burger developed this time for children in March. The first 300 customers will also receive a can badge.
