The "Awajishima Onion Beef Hamburger" (850 yen) is made with Awaji beef on top of a deep-fried cutlet of Awaji Island onions, which are about 8 mm thick. It is served with tomato sauce and spicy mayonnaise. The "Awajishima Onion Gratin Burger" (850 yen) is an onion gratin sauce made with Awaji chicken and Awaji Island milk on top of onion cutlets, sandwiched with an onion fondue flavored with Kikko-vinegar and wine vinegar.
We also ordered the "Island Craft Cola" (500 yen) made with Awaji Island Naruto Orange, a fantastic citrus fruit produced on Awaji Island, the refreshing "Awajishima Lemon Leska ka? (600 yen), and "Awajishima Sweet Onion Rings" (300 yen), filled with the sweetness of onions.
Biting into a hamburger on the terrace with the best view is bliss. Gazing across the Naruto Straits to Shikoku and feeling how far you have come is one of the best parts of a road trip. After our bellies were full, we sat on the "hanging ball chairs" and swayed, reluctant to leave the end of our trip behind.
